Place & story
A church built together
The Historic Environment Division survey describes a cruciform church with a square western tower and an eastern chancel. Its matching masonry suggests that these elements belong to one building campaign. Pointed windows contain stained glass, while battlements crown the tower. [2]
Renewal a century later
A plaque records restoration between August 1989 and August 1990, inspired by parish priest Denis McConologue. The 2009 survey notes extensive interior refurbishment, including replacement pews and flooring. Its historical research also identifies an earlier Catholic chapel on the 1833 Ordnance Survey map.
