A hundred years of music
Roses Lane Ends Flute Band marked its centenary in 2008. On 1 June, a band parade preceded a thanksgiving service in Ballinderry Parish Church. The rectors of Ballinderry and Glenavy took part, while the parish choir and organist Robert Yarr led the singing. The programme also included a flute-and-piano duet by Nigel Wilkinson and Gareth Murray, and a solo by Bobby Culbert accompanied by Alan Yarr. [2]
