Place & story
The branch opened in 1919
The Templecrone Co-operative Agricultural Society, known as the Cope, opened its Kincasslagh branch in 1919. It was part of the trading network of the co-operative established in 1906 under Paddy Gallagher’s leadership. The society’s chronology records another local change in October 2014, when the Kincasslagh shop changed from Spar to Cope Foodstore Express. These dated entries trace the village branch’s place within the Rosses’ co-operative economy. [2]
