Place & story
A house for the parish
St. Columba’s Parochial House dates from about 1885. Its two-storey frontage centres on a porch with an arched doorway, sidelights and a fanlight, approached by stone steps. The house retains a slate roof and timber sash windows, while later extensions stand behind it. Set in its own garden at the western end of Tamney, it is associated with St. Columba’s Catholic church at Massmount to the north. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage recorded its continuing use as a parochial house in 2010. [2]
