Place & story
From church to community centre
The community centre occupies Moyvore’s former Presbyterian church at the eastern end of the village. The architectural survey records its closure as a church around 1950 and conversion around 1975. Pointed windows retain dressed limestone surrounds, with a circular window above the former main entrance. [2]
The primary school
Moyvore Primary School stands on the R392 in the village. Its own account dates the building to 1942–43 and records subsequent renovations. [3]
