Place & story
The church at Cornamarve
Killarga’s former Church of Ireland church at Cornamarve was built in 1820 with a Board of First Fruits loan. The architectural survey records a three-bay nave and a three-stage entrance tower with battlements. Pointed windows combine timber tracery with cast-iron latticework. A tree-lined avenue leads to the church and its graveyard, enclosed by a stone wall and iron gates. The survey recorded the church out of use in 2003. [2]
