Place & story
Adapting the school
The school’s own account records a reduction to one teacher in 1989 and a return to two teachers in 1998. An extension opened on 5 June 2005. Later work included removing the old coal shed in 2012 and enlarging the play area, supported by grants and parents’ fundraising. [2]
Let’s Bake History
In 2022, senior pupils produced Let’s Bake History, a cookbook containing twenty-one recipes from families connected with the school. The project formed part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. Pupils organised research, publicity and marketing, printed one hundred copies and planned to give part of the proceeds to the Irish Cancer Society. [3]
