Place & story
The silver-jubilee crest
Roscavey Primary School designed its crest for the new school’s silver jubilee in 1991. The school explains the grass tufts as representing the townland, while the hills refer to the Sperrins to the north and drumlins to the south. Interwoven initials RPS place the school at the centre of the design. [2]
Sixty years celebrated
In October 2026 a report described Roscavey Primary School’s sixtieth-anniversary gathering. A thanksgiving Mass in Beragh’s Church of the Immaculate Conception preceded a reception at the school, bringing together present and former pupils, staff, families and governors. The occasion also recognised the retirement of Joan McCrory, who had joined the school in 1992. [3]
