Place & story
Reading the surviving walls
Michael O’Boyle’s 2020 conservation survey measured the rectangular church at about 16.3 by 8.4 metres. Its limestone north wall preserves a pointed doorway. Memorial plaques occupy the remains of the eastern lancet window, while the south wall survives mainly as a low ridge. [2]
Conservation in 2020
The survey found the east gable leaning outwards and identified missing stone at its north-eastern corner. O’Boyle recommended carefully recording and numbering masonry before dismantling and rebuilding the upper gable, alongside repairs to the corner and doorway. [2]
