Place & story
A chapel of ease
Trinity Church carries an 1860 date plaque and was consecrated in 1861 as a chapel of ease for Kilmore parish, commemorating Mr and Mrs Henry Rogers. Its limestone walls have sandstone buttresses and pointed lancet windows. A tall, two-stage tower beside the nave ends in a saddleback roof, rather than a spire. The church closed in 1978 and was subsequently adapted to another use. It stands in a small graveyard, opposite a former constabulary barracks later used as a post office. [2]
