Place & story
A token dated 1827
The Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland preserves a communion token identified with Dundrod Presbyterian Church and dated 1827. Such tokens regulated admission to communion. This small object records the early congregation alongside the surviving meeting house, whose entrance inscription also carries the year 1827. [2] [3]
Dundrod’s winning machines
Motorcycles associated with Dundrod victories were displayed at a 2012 Ulster Grand Prix anniversary gathering in Lisburn. They included Brian Reid’s 350cc Yamaha, which he had ridden to victory on the circuit in 1985, and the 250cc Yamsel ridden by Ray McCullough to his 1971 Ulster Grand Prix win. Vintage riders also toured the Dundrod circuit before displaying their machines. [4]
