Place & story
Developing the grounds
In January 2008, Lavey GFC reported that it had spent more than €500,000 developing its New Inn facilities in recent years. The works included an artificial playing surface as well as grass pitches. The club launched a members’ draw to support further improvements to dressing rooms and surrounding buildings. [2]
At its January 2009 annual meeting, the club recorded completion of the training pitch at New Inn during 2008. These reports link the grounds’ development to repeated fundraising and support from the wider parish community. [3] [2]
