Place & story

A Board of First Fruits church

Saint Moling’s was built in 1824 with support from the Board of First Fruits and consecrated in 1828. Its western entrance tower has three stages, battlements and slender granite pinnacles. Pointed windows combine carved wooden mullions with iron glazing bars. [2]

The interior

A timber choir gallery stands on small columns, while the pulpit has an octagonal plan. A wall monument commemorates Edward James Bolton of Ballinastraw House, who died in 1886. The church was restored in 1999. [2]
