Anastasia O’Connor

Anastasia, known as Stasia O’Connor, ran Milehouse’s post office until it closed in the 1980s. Her 2011 obituary recalled the counter as both a neighbourhood service and a place where she kept in touch with local people. It also remembered her sewing work and the vegetables and flowers she grew on her half-acre plot. [2]
